So I want to be Claire Danes in my so called life. Then I remember this isn't 1998 and instead of thinking about Doc Martens, Hair dye and Jared Leto I have to think about Bills, work and the almost first wrinkle I have.
In reality I spend my time in the week dressed in mundane blah outfits that are acceptable to be painted on and make people ask is that fish pie in your hair?
When I walk out of my work I breathe in and acknowledge the Marc Jacobs in my life, the love of ruffles, buttons and bows. I hear french accents and Dolly parton singing to me. I smell Sambucca and the pages of Lula mag and Nylon and for a moment I forget the baby sick on my shoulder and envision shoulder pads aplenty and cowboy boots stomping.
I am Childcare extraordinaire by day and Alex I dream of Marc Jacobs by night.
